The article covers the study of geological structure and history of the tectonic development of the southern and northern upheavals of the Bednodemyanovskaya site with the use of “informative” capacities. The operational paleostructural analysis enables us to establish the main stages of trap formation and to identify favorable areas for production drilling. It was established that the northern wing of the northern upheaval located beyond the boundaries of a federal highway was not a prospecting site for the placement of producing wells. Our prediction was confirmed when we drilled a producing well in the trap outline and also by the results of work with the use of borehole seismology. Recommendations on sinking producing wells in the domed area of the “informative” sedimentary complex structure are provided.
The method of “informative” capacities can used to solve practical tasks at sites with complex geological structures and low-amplitude traps.
