Kuznetsov, LLC «RN -Sakhalin NIPI -Morneft» Nowadays the increasing interest is aroused towards thermal drive methods for hard-to-recover oil reserves. The engineering calculations involving experimentally determined heat conductivity values shall provide the basis for thermal drive methods. Application of theoretical and empirical heat conductivity values can result in serious thermal drive calculation errors. The accuracy in heat conductivity measurement is substantially dependent on measuring procedure and plant design. This paper is devoted to theoretical assumptions in heat conductivity calculations and discusses possibilities of their application at Autolab 1500 plant in thermobaric conditions equivalent to in-situ conditions Keywords: rock formation, heat conductivity, acoustic waves, formation matrix, interstitial space.
