The main scope of research related to studying the phase behavior of gas condensate systems using both a PVT cell and reservoir models constructed of bulk material or core samples from the real field is associated with the region of retrograde condensation. To evaluate the influence of porous media on the change in composition and phase behavior of a gas condensate system in the region of low pressures, the experiments using two different reservoir models for simulating field depletion drive mechanism were conducted. The experiments included preparation of test gas condensate mixture and core samples, reservoir model construction, saturation of porous media with gas condensate mixture followed by depletion through removal of gas phase during differential condensation. Compositions of the produced wellstream under pressure decrease were obtained from the experiments. The data processing showed that mainly hydrocarbon components up to С12 were involved into direct vaporization process, and the maximum condensation pressure for С5+ in porous media shifted to lower values. Also, the change of component recovery factor with recoverable reserves was analyzed.

The most promising technology for processing of AGCF sour gases, is the use of direct heterogeneous Catalytic oxidation of hydrogen sulfide, but the existing at the moment industrial processes based on this reaction, have strict limitations for the concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the feed gas (not more than 5-10% vol). New technology of direct heterogeneous-catalytic oxidation of hydrogen sulfide in the reactor with ebullated bed of spherical catalyst granules with heat removal from the reaction zone is proposed to be used for processing of sour gases of the Astrakhan gas condensate field (up to 36% of hydrogen sulfide). Research has been carried out under real life conditions at the test site of “Gazprom Dobyacha Astrakhan” LLC . The technological process is described using the example of the pilot unit with ebullated bed of catalyst for treatment of AGCF natural gas . Two types of catalysts have been tested : the base applied magnesium-chrome catalyst and pilot titanium-vanadium -aluminum catalyst, which demonstrated the highest efficiency when tested at the laboratory unit .

» Inchukalnskoe UGSF: Рotential development opportunities and new functions in the modern context

The article analyses the gas demand of the Inchukalnskoe UGSF in Latvia in the present day. The storage facility’s performance indicator calculation until 2035 is based upon predicted changes in gas consumption volumes in the region during this period. While doing so, the following factors are considered: redistribution of consumption shares between gas of the UGSF and new energy sources that are being developed in Europe, as well as renewable sources and liquefied natural gas that can be delivered to the region bypassing the storage facility.
