This article deals with the issues of monitoring corrosion processes at gas pipelines and problems arising in the course of the diagnostic works complex. The authors propose some solutions in the area of corrosion protection of gas pipelines and repair technologies that by increasing coatings lifetime will enable to stabilize the scope of the required monitoring of corrosion processes and optimize costs of ensuring pipelines corrosion protection.

» Enhancement of corrosion protection efficiency of main pipelines with application of smart coatingsOpen PDF
This paper considers the value of transition resistance of insulation coating necessary for efficient operation of electrochemical protection in case of exfoliation of coating from pipeline metal and formation of open slot defect. A possibility is shown for application of corrosion protection of double-layer smart coatings based on epoxy-polyelectrolyte composites and the conditions are determined, under which their application is feasible at the main pipelines.

» The dynamic connection of the reservoir pressure maintenance systems and production wellsOpen PDF
One of the main parameters that affect the safety of electric submersible pumps (ESP) wells, is the dynamic level. The magnitude of the dynamic level depends on a number of parameters not only producing wells, but also subsystems maintain reservoir pressure (PAP). When the PAP parameters calculated on the basis of the compensation method, ie based on the integral injection and production volumes, the dynamic of complex «system PAP – layer – production well» is usually not taken into account. The article examines the impact of the interaction dynamics injection and production wells on the dynamic level, and as a consequence, the safety of the ESP. It is shown that even small changes in injection parameters can strongly influence the accident ESP operation.

» Research of redistributions of residual stresses in steel main pipeline appeared as a result of formation of dimple type defect in the pipe under the influence of internal pressureOpen PDF
The paper contains represented results of the study of issues concerning distribution and re-distribution of residual stresses of metal of oil pipeline as a result of formation of dimple type defect. Finite element representation of the pipe is constructed, the data are obtained on the values and zones of concentrations of residual stresses and deformations, and modification of location of these zones under influence of internal pressure is studied.

» On-condition maintenance of gas pipelinesOpen PDF
The methods for determining frequency of technical pipeline smart pigging and scopes of sample gas pipelines overhaul, required for their safe operation during on-condition maintenance, have been developed. Based on the analysis of statistical data on gas pipelines technical re-pigging, it is proposed to increase the rated value of time interval between smart pigging within the range from 6 to 10 years depending on the gas pipelines operational conditions and the scopes of their sample overhaul.
