Vladimir G. KucherovVladimir G. Kucherov was born on August 20, 1955, in Moscow.
In 1977, he finished Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas with a specialization “Mechanical Engineer”, in 1990 – the doctoral candidacy of Gubkin State Academy of Oil and Gas Academy.
He holds position in Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas – Professor of the Department of Physics from 2009.
Professional activity: Engineer of Scientific-Research Institute of Rubber Industry (1977–1978); Engineer, Junior and Senior Research Associate, Doctoral Candidate, Professor of the Department of Physics at Gubkin State Oil and Gas University. Work abroad: Invited Research Associate at the University of Umea (Sweden), Project Coordinator, Associate Professor at the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm.
Area of scientific studies: experimental researches of hydrocarbon formation ways under conditions of the upper mantle of the Earth, study of phase behavior and properties of complex hydrocarbon systems under superhigh state parameters.

He was organizer and invited lecturer of separate sections at 5 international conferences, including Nordic Geological Winter Meeting (Upsalla, 2004); AAPG and AAPG European Region Energy Conference and Exhibition (Athens, 2007); the 33rd Geological Congress (Oslo, 2008).
He lectures on the discipline: Synthesis, Phase Behavior of Complex Hydrocarbon Systems under Superhigh State Parameters.
He prepared one Candidate of Science.
