(TESTING THE LIQUEFIED CARBON DIOXIDE INJECTION TECHNOLOGY TO IMPROVE THE FLOW RATE OF OIL AND GAS WELLS AT THE ORENBURGSKOYE OIL, GAS, AND CONDENSATE FIELD)
The article presents the research results on liquefied carbon dioxide injection into wells to intensify the hydrocarbon flow and estimate the possibility of subsurface hydrocarbon burial at the Orenburgskoye oil, gas, and condensate field. The cyclic injection was carried out into gas-condensate and oil wells of the Orenburgskoye oil, gas, and condensate field located on a slope of the Volga-Ural anteclise, within the linkage area of the Peri-Caspian syneclise and Pre-Ural foredeep. The results were processed in three stages: injection, exposure, and development. The development output was fed into a process pipeline via separation equipment, where corrosion coupons were installed to determine the negative impact on the metal. The preliminary implementation results of the carbon dioxide stimulation technique show that it is a promising stimulation agent for oil formations of the Orenburgskoye oil, gas, and condensate field, provided that the technology shall be tested on other wells to confirm its effectiveness. The described technique provides the initial stage of resolving the enterprise’s major problems of enhancing hydrocarbon recovery from conventional oil pools, putting retrograde condensate into development, enhancing gas recovery by partially replacing the pool’s formation gas with carbon dioxide, and reducing the environmental impact.
