(IMPLEMENTATION OF INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR THE AUTONOMOUS ENERGY SUPPLY OF THE GAS TRANSMISSION FACILITIES)
Reliable energy supply of gas transmission facilities is always a topical issue. Since energy supply is the basis for process control and safety systems, power failures and interruptions lead to shutdown or failure of automatic control and monitoring systems.
One of the ways to overcome the problems of uninterrupted energy supply is a schematic solution for autonomous energy supply using the tested equipment, which confirmed the declared parameters of quality and reliability during pilot operation in real conditions.
We have developed the schematic solutions of introducing autonomous sources of microgeneration at a gas distribution station and a linear part of a main gas pipeline. These solutions are related to the existing gas transmission facilities and take into account available connected electric power according to the groups of consumers, depending on the category of power supply reliability. Implementation of the presented schematic solutions foresees 100 % connection of capacity of electrochemical protection station at the linear part of the main gas pipelines and 5 % connection at gas distribution stations. It is shown that developments based on a free-piston Stirling engine and an electrochemical generator with solid oxide fuel cells provide the specified parameters in terms of quality and reliability of energy supply. Introduction of autonomous sources of microgeneration is economically feasible in case of arrangement of external networks. The economic effect based on the results of pilot operation is confirmed when it is necessary to build overhead power lines and pay for technological connection in the amount of not less than 8 million rubles per 1 kW of connected capacity.
