(THE DEPARTMENT OF MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT OF THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY IS 100 YEARS OLD)
In 2022 the Department of Machinery and Equipment for Oil and Gas Industry of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) celebrates its 100th anniversary. Over the years of its existence the department has released a large number of highly qualified specialists working in different countries of the world. Among the graduates of the department there are heads of large industrial companies, leading specialists, laureates of state prizes in science and engineering. And after a century the connection of the department with the branch community is not interrupted – every year the department graduates 40–45 bachelors and 18–25 masters, thus subjects of graduate qualification works are devoted to the solution of the most relevant issues for the branch and agreed with representatives of the industry, who make more than half of the state examination board. Today the Department of Machinery and Equipment of Oil and Gas Industry continues training specialists in accordance with modern requirements of the industry, giving students the opportunity not only to study the fundamental sciences and special disciplines, but also to get quality knowledge and skills in the most demanded specialties related to the use of computer programs and digital technologies.
