(DETERMINATION OF WEAR RESISTANCE OF A SUCKER ROD PUMP WITH NITRIDED CYLINDER HARDENING WHEN OPERATING IN DIFFICULT CONDITIONS)
The article presents the main results of bench tests of borehole rod pumps with a nitride cylinder on various model fluids, conducted in the educational and research laboratory of the Department of Machinery and Equipment for the Oil and Gas Industry of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University). The tests were carried out according to the previously published method.
The obtained results correlate well with the results of downhole sucker-rod pumps operation in complicated wells and allow determining the influence of such complicating factors as a high concentration of mechanical impurities at the pump intake and low pH of the pumped reservoir fluid on the operation of downhole rod pumps with a nitride cylinder, as well as conducting a predictive analysis of the pump operation in the well. The change of leakage volume in the plungercylinder pair and the value of specific linear wear of the plunger pair after bench tests were chosen as the criterion for determining the performance capability and wear resistance of pumps in such complicated conditions.
