(ESTIMATION OF STRESS AND STRAIN STATE OF SUBSEA PIPELINE WITH DISCRETE WEIGHTS BY STRENGTH CRITERION)
The article analyses the main loads and impacts on a subsea pipeline and provides recommendations for determining the total longitudinal stresses of its sections.
It is noted that calculation of stresses of the assessed section of a subsea pipeline shall be carried out taking into account such factors affecting its dimensionality as operational characteristics of the pipeline, design of the subsea crossing and its actual position, external and internal loads acting on the pipeline, etc. Calculation examples are given for pipes with different coatings and ballast types. It is emphasised that the determination of the total pipeline stress at the underwater crossing section is the most important task in assessing the technical condition of the underwater crossing.
